Marvel studio is an American television studio  and subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios. Marvel studio is also known  for the production  of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

                                 

HISTORY OF MARVEL

          Marvel studios  started from a simple comic book publisher and become  one of the most successful entertainment   empire in the world.

         Marvel comic was founded by magazine  publisher Martin Goodman in 1939 under the name TIMELY COMICS. The company published his first comic  titled MARVEL COMICS 1 and it was major success selling  thousands of copies .

                                     

Stanley Lieber who wrote  under the name Stanley was hired  and later become  the editor  of the comics line  and creating a number of  popular character  including spider man , the hulk , the Thor , the Black panther , the X-men, Ironman  and the fantastic four.

                         

In 1950 Timely  was commonly referred  to as  Atlas comics .

In 1961  the first marvel branded comics were published and by 1965 the company was selling 50 million comic books per year.

Marvel went   through a couple of different owners before it  was purchased. 

In 1989 Ronald Perelman took the company public over the year marvel has deal with the threat of bankruptcy a few different times. But now  Marvel runs under the direction of  Disney  which has owned Marvel Entertainment since 2009.

He was supposed to be a passenger on the Hindenburg but if he had  made the flight on  the German passenger airship the marvel universe may never been created  on day he was scheduled to fly  the Hindenburg caught fire with 97 people on board 35 of which died in this disaster.

Spider man has appeared in the most solo Marvel comic books Spider man is the  most prolific superhero  in the history of marvel appearing in more comic books than any other marvel character  and  Spider has appeared in more than 2575 comic books .   

                                       

 

In 2009 Disney made an investment  in the marvel  universe by buying the company  for 4.2 billion people dollars .
