CORONA VIRUS

       Corona virus are group of viruses  that causes illness to  human and animals . These corona virus also called as novel coronavirus . The corona virus is zoonotic , that is transmitted between animal and humans.

                    

 

HISTORY OF CORONA VIRUS

      The first coronavirus was  isolated in 1930 .The corona viruses are majorly found amongst  animals.They are seven such strains of human corona viruses are known till date.

3.     HUMAN CORONA VIRUS 229E

4.     HUMAN CORONA VIRUS NL63

5.     SARS-COV(SARS)

7.     SARS-COV2(COVID-19)

Out of seven four are  generally benign and known to continuously circulate  in the human population causing a fraction of common cold Illness  in human .

However three categories of corona viruses caused more severe infections and claimed lives thrice in history of mankind .

THE SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYDROME (SARS-COV)     

It is the type of virus that originated from animal as yet uncertain animal reservoir ,perhaps bats and jumped over cats before infecting humans .It was initially identified in the  Guangdong province of south china in 2002 ,Spreading across 26 countries .Infecting about 8000 people and claiming around 800 lives making the fatality rate approximately 10%.

               

THE MIDDLE EAST RESPIRATORY

It transmitted through camels .It was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 2012,Spreading through 27 countries.The fatality of the diseases is 35% causing about 850 death and 2 500 infected cases.

    

 

SARS-COV2 ()

It is also called novel corona  virus.It was first identified in market of wuhan in china in 2019 .

 According to researchers the viruses could have spread from an infected animal to humans through scaly anteaters  other wise  called pangolin,prized in asia for  food .

Possibilities of bats and snakes are also being considered  till date. It infected more than millions of people .

Symptoms of CoronaVirus
